Alpine Inn is beautifully situated on a hillside overlooking the valley, surrounded by tall pines, woods and streams. They have twenty-five first class, warm, welcoming and especially clean rooms in chalet style buildings reflecting our Swiss German heritage. A country dining room in which we serve caringly prepared distinguished fare - fresh, flavorful and abundant. A spacious, inviting lounge - naturally with the requisite fireplace to warm frosty toes.
Full Moon is a year-round alternative resort, conference center, and performance venue dedicated to the celebration of nature, music, and the arts. This breathtakingly beautiful site is surrounded by mountains, with eighty thousand acres of wilderness beyond. The Barn is a charming, intimate space that may be used for afternoon workshops and other smaller gatherings. We will also enjoy swimming in the spacious, pristine spring-fed pool, strolling the grounds, and relaxing in the comfortable lounge areas spread throughout the property.
Accommodations are spread over 3 spacious lodge buildings in bed and breakfast style rooms, 2-4 people each, with shared bath facilities. Tenting in the meadow with nearby bath facilities is an option. We can accommodate up to 50 people on a first-come basis. The first night will be spent at a neighboring resort.
Food is provided by the gourmet kitchen staff offering 3 delicious vegetarian or meat meals with tea and coffee available throughout the day. If you have special dietary needs, please tell us and we will accommodate as best we can, or you can bring the food you need to supplement your meals. A small refrigerator is available for our use, but there are no cooking facilities.
Location and Transportation
The Alpine Inn and Full Moon are located in the Catskill Mountains, one-half hour west of Woodstock, New York. Driving time is two and a half hours from New York City, and an hour and a half from Albany, which is the nearest large airport. The bus from Port Authority and elsewhere stops four times a day just down the road. By arrangement with our registrar, transportation will be provided from this bus stop to Full Moon.
